As-salaamu alaykum readers,
Guess what? The Muslim Writers’ Salon Membership Community is OPEN! We are accepting applications until February 15th, 2025, insha’Allah.
“Tell me more”, you say.
I’d be happy to!
Salaam, this is Maceo Nafisah and I am a co-founder of the Muslim Writers’ Salon. We launched in December 2023 and have been building a writing community for Muslims globally ever since.
Currently we have members in Canada, Côte d'Ivoire, Germany, Malawi, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, the UK, and the US.
Our members come together on our online platform for writing sessions, courses, interviews with published writers, and discussions on the writing life. Best of all, we support each other through the process.
We offer three membership tiers. This time around, we’re only accepting applications for the Haiku tier, which we created for writers who want to write in community.
As Muslim writers, we need people who understand us, support our creativity, and won’t ask “Not even water?” during Ramadan. We also need to feel safe writing our stories. We need encouragement, tips for writing better and mentorship.
Whether you have an idea waiting to be written, or need help submitting your masterpiece for publication, we’re here to support you!
